Pumpkin Paintings

Pumpkin patch fever is in the air round my house….I’ve been trying out new pumpkin dishes. My family has sampled them, happily.  I posted a few weeks ago that my daughter moved into the house directly behind my house…That has more advantages than disadvantages. I love having my grandchildren come by after school and having them spend time with me. The best part is I don’t have to leave home at all!

Today was spent painting things for my booth. Pumpkins were the order of the day.   It was so pleasant outside that I took my little easel outside on the porch and painted all day.  I painted 5 canvases and cooked breakfast, lunch and supper…. Oh yes, I mopped the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher and washed a couple loads of laundry. And painted all day.  Yes, I took my vitamins.

After school Stella stopped back by and rather than going home with her mom she decided to stay and paint. I gladly took a break! She did great.

Hi Renee, I’m visiting from UBC. You have a lovely daughter, and so nice to make homemade Halloween decorations. I always prefer those to the store bought kind. That reminds me that soon I’ll have to start thinking about decorating the house. Have a great rest of the week and nice to meet you. 🙂

Oh, me too, Veronica. I much prefer to make my own than store bought…thank you for stopping by! Nice to meet you, too.

Hello Nichole, thank you! The Lord worked it out just perfectly for my daughter to get the house behind mine! Truly, it was a miracle that, looking back, we can see how it unfolded into hour laps…Bless you in Germany today! My mother’s grandparents came here from Germany and they settled in a town in South Carolina that they named Valhalla, because it reminded them of Germany. Nice to meet you. Thanks for stopping by!

What a joy it must be to have your daughter and grandchildren so close, and to be able to share your creativity with them!
