Hannah’s Room Makeover

Yesterday’s post was about the Makeover my daughter and I did for my granddaughter’s bedroom, featuring monogrammed pillows I made from old monogrammed t-shirts. But we needed to pull the whole room together…that’s when we made our trip to TJ Maxx to find finishing touches. We picked up Hot Pink, Lime Green and silver picture frames.  I put photos of HM and her friends in them… and then found silver lamps with a paisley shades that matched perfectly (I won shades on Ebay).  Add to these, a mirror and matching brush and comb set and we had one perfectly decorated bedroom!

Hannah Marie  painted the large bird paintings over her bed  ~ not knowing I was encouraging her to incorporate  the colors we were  planning for her room. But my favorite addition to the room was her dressing table. Little girls need their very own dressing table…I should say “young ladies” because she is already taller than me!

I picked up this piece at the auction and painted it to match her room. The vanity stool came from her Great Grandmother. I used the same hot pink fabric I used for the shams and throw pillows, to cover the seat cushion.

I’d say the dressing table makeover was the best SURPRISE yet!
